August 12, 2008.  The 5th Annual Adult Spelling Bee, Spell Check Live! 2008, was held at the Central High School Performing Arts Center.  Eleven teams competed for the Traveling Trophy and the first place prize of dinner at Tam's Backstage Restaurant and tickets to a performance at the Cumming Playhouse.

For the second year in a row, the Blonde Bombspellers, representing Lanier Technical College, took first place.  Second place went to The Bee Givers, representing the United Way of Forsyth County.
